The retreat
For couples who already
love each other.
Most couples retreats speak to people in crisis. This one speaks to the couples who already love each other - and sense there is a layer they haven't fully touched yet.
Five days of somatic bodywork, massage, touch practice, tantric rituals, meditations and embodied practices at Rose Mountain in the south of Portugal. A deep immersion into practices that connect you with your life force, your pleasure and your truth. We're gradually building up the bodywork and involve your whole body. This is not a holiday - this is a deeply held, embodied experience into real intimacy.
The body holds what the mind cannot release.
What you're learning is not feeling. It's safety.
Most people don't stop feeling because they forgot how. They stop feeling because somewhere along the way, feeling became unsafe - too much, too unpredictable, too vulnerable. So the body learned to intercept the signal before it fully landed.
That's armour. That's the nervous system doing its job.

- Slow the person down until the body stops bracing.
- Use touch to bypass the mind's gatekeeper.
- Use breath to open the channel.
- Use repetition until the new pattern becomes the default.

- Use live demonstrations - seeing it in a body that isn't yours makes it real before it has to be personal.

Mission
Rewire Intimacy exists to support couples access a layer of connection they haven't reached yet. It often begins with one person - a quiet knowing there is more to explore. Naming that knowing inside the relationship is where the work begins. Becoming aware of what runs between you, together, is a core pillar of the Rewire Intimacy process.

We use somatic and holistic bodywork, combining soft touch de-armouring, breath, sound, energy and cognitive therapy rooted in The Gaia Method merged with Tantra and Shamanism - to create conditions for transformation that words cannot reach.

The Method We Work With
The Gaia Method.
Both guides are certified in The Gaia Method - developed over thirty years by Susanne Roursgaard. During the retreat we work with soft-touch de-armouring, somatic bodywork, tantric massage, breath, sound, and somatic therapy.
The method consists of a variety of tools with the purpose of integrating body, mind and soul. The Gaia Method is merging knowledge and techniques from psychology, science and the so-called "alternative" and "spiritual" world. All complementing each other, together with ideas and methods from old traditions, such as Shamanism, Tantra and Yoga. Creating a holistic way of working.
It's a process designed to help you shed blockages, patterns, trauma and beliefs, that disconnect you from yourself. It is not just a technique or bodywork. It's a process that involves the whole you.
The Gaia Method brings loving attention to areas of tension, numbness and disconnection. It is known as a "soft touch" method. Instead of breaking through armour with force, we invite the body to open up. Welcoming suppressed and rejected parts of you to be expressed and integrated in a compassionate and loving way.
A day at the retreat
The days have
a rhythm.
The bodywork and massage build gradually across the five days. We begin softly and involve more of the body as trust settles, until the work involves the whole body. No two days are the same - but every day breathes the same way.
